This 2-Bar Multi-Tool Kit from BuckEye Tractor Co allows you to build and configure your own setup. Add the tools you need for your job and mount them as needed. Most configuration can be mounted in 30 minutes. Lots of options are available: don’t hesitate to ask for advice. We will call you to validate the configuration with your cropping system.
Recommended minimum power of 50 HP.
The tools are attached to the 3″ bars.
Options available:
- Category 1 or 2 hitch: Choose Cat-2 in most situations.
- Heavy duty disk bedder: this is to efficiently make raised beds.
- 1,2 or 3-Row Shallow drip tape applicator with roll supports: Drip tape applicator lays the drip tape at a depth of 0-5″ (controlled by toolbar height). Buried drip tape allows for cultivation of vegetables throughout the season while having precise and low-water consumption irrigation. You also don’t have to move sprinklers around. For the simple version, it’s best to have gauge wheels on the toolbar. The version with parallel linkage with gauge wheel installed brings superior depth precision. It can be effective to bury drips tapes all season below the crop. The drip tape can also be applied along the row before ridging potatoes and leeks. Water is applied to the right place, near the roots and water consumption is greatly reduced. Hoe over the drip tape without damaging them if the laying depth is constant and sufficient (4″ to 5″) and the hoeing is carried out within 1″ to 2″ of the depth of the drip tapes. You can see more information on the drip tape applicators on Buckeye Tractor website
- 42″ and 48″ Bed lifter (Undercutter): This heavy duty blade penetrates the soil easily in any condition. Ideal for harvesting carrots, parsnip, garlic, leek. You can see pictures of the different configurations at Buckeye Tractor.
- 3-shank chisel: Use a chisel to loosen the soil before planting to promote rooting and infiltration. This chisel has vertical shanks that can be converted into a bed lifter (42″ and 48″). Perfect for loosening soil in the spring and then converting it to a bed lifter for the rest of the season.
- Gauge wheels: Pair of gauge wheels (16×650-8). Essential for most configurations, it allows for constant work depth.
- Parking Stand: 2-leg stand for easy hitch, unhitch and park.
- Mulch Lifter: Convert the bed lifter or chisel to a mulch lifter by installing fins at the tip of two chisel shank. More information on Mulch Lifters at Buckeye Tractor.
- Coulters: 1 to 3 coulters can be added to cut residue or cut disposable plastic mulch to be torn off. Use 1 coulter for cutting plastic. Use 2 coulters to cut the residues in front of the lifting blade, or the mulch lifter. Use 3 coulters to cut the plastic when tearing off the mulch.
