3 or 5 shank chisel plow with optional disc bedder.
This C-shank chisel plow churns up soil from the bottom. This fractures soil in the full tillage layer (down to “plow depth” – primary tillage) and mixes residue for typical over-winter or between-season decomposition. It is used before planting, typically to prepare soil for raised or flat beds. Can also be used before winter to mix residues or before seeding green manures to promote root penetration. The optional disk bedder pulls soil trom the alleys to form raised beds.
The 3-Shank model is a category 2 and is equipped with a double 3″ square toolbars, gauge wheels and parking stands. The optional bedder is two groupes of two 22″ notched blades fixed on the toolbar.
The 5-Shank model is a category 2 and is equipped with three 4″ square toolbars, gauge wheels and parking stands. The optional bedder is two groupes of two 24″ notched blades fixed on the toolbar.
10″ and 12″ sweeps are also available for wider soil fracture
