These proven Tine Weeder from Buckeye are used for “blind” cultivation and are offered in two variations.
Tine weeder are trendy for blind cultivation within the first few weeks of crop growth. Tines break up a thin crust to dry out sprouting weeds. After sufficient growth, depending on the crop, tines can operate in-row.
Choose between two configurations, one is for raised beds while the other is for flat cultures.
Tine weeder for raised beds
This set-up for raised beds includes:
- Cultivator Toolbar w/ Open-Center Hitch, 4-toolbar frame
- Gauge wheels, 16×650-8 on 4-bolt hub
- Gurrow shanks (to cultivate furrows at the same time)
- Crescent hoes (to till bed sides).
- 27 tine weeder on a 56″ Rack (39″ working width)
This configuration is for 60″ center to center beds and for approximately 40″ bed top. Other Tine Rack widths are available to match your bed width (contact us).
Tine spacing is 1-1/2” across four ranks. Adjust down pressure on each tine or raise up when needed.
