This harvest wheelbarrow is specially designed to circulate in the aisles between the cultivation beds. The first prototypes were built at the Ferme aux petits oignons in 2019 and a series was produced during a CAPÉ self-construction workshop in 2021.
-Ideal for transporting harvest containers in the field (600mm x 400mm and less: bulb containers, Roughneck, tomato trays, etc.);
-Excellent for moving between tall crops, difficult to overlap with wide carts: zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, large brassicas, etc.;
-Ideal for circulating between the beds: the outer width between the legs is 16″, which avoids placing the legs on the beds;
-The legs are designed to avoid tearing plastic mulch (wide and rounded legs, narrow overall width);
– Heavy duty steel construction with durable electrostatic paint;
– Well balanced, does not overturn easily. Containers located above the wheel exert almost zero net weight on the operator;
– Stoppers prevent containers from sliding;
-Allows you to comfortably transport up to 250 lbs (5 well-filled bins);
-The fact of having a single wheel prevents the wheelbarrow from leaning to the sides following the uneven relief of the garden (compared to two wheels);
-Plans are available on request if you want to build it yourself.
